My thanks to both Eric and Zach for having me on their Colorado 14er-related podcast. The podcast is aimed at sharing insights and stories of some of the easier routes on 14ers, but they thought it would be fun to have me on as well, even though I described the routes I take more being of the, “Double Black Diamond and Skull/Crossbones” variety. Have a listen below:

Some silly history:

Way back on one of my first (or the first?) 14er I hiked up: Mt. Elbert in 2009. I started hiking up after having ridden my bike from Denver, which took me two days!

Back on my Mt. Elbert in 2014, during my Tour 14er,

Summit of Mt. Elbert

And one of my last times on Mt. Elbert, where I linked a route around the entire local drainage to Mt. Massive:

Summit of Mt. Elbert

Always fun to see the progressions in my hill walking career.
