I've also attached a flier for you.
This show, Alex tells me, explores the innocence of childhood in a playful way, negating, perhaps the loss of innocence we experience as we grow older. It will, in fact, be drawings of childing and flowers and, people he loves. They look great. The largest drawing will be a 12 foot by 14 foot mural, made of paper. Yes.
Also, The Andenken Gallery will have an opening about a block away on 29th and Larimer, so if you come, go to that and if you go to that, come to this.
If you have any questions, just let me know,

Hello Everyone,
This Friday, April 4th, 2008 I'll be in the, Draw Rings 2 (The Return) art opening at Rhinoceropolis - all my work there will be brand new, mostly comprised of full colored screen printings of my latest drawings. They look fantastic.

"Promise", Full-color screenprint on Bristol Board. 1 of 15. 9" x 11"
I'll have copies for sale that you can buy from me right there and take home. The prices will be democratic. The rest I'll be putting on the site soon.
The screenprints are graphically dense and deliciously colorful. The process from turning the drawings into screenprints is long and time consuming - much like a lot of my work, but the final result is some of the most unique work I've done. Each screen print is a compilation of at least five separate drawings. Many of the pieces deal with realities we attempt to deny, by either covering them up with half truths or spinning the situations to suite our tastes. We all do it, and perhaps we shouldn't. Maybe the first step to understanding why we do it is to admit that we are flawed individuals.
I've continued to work with my experimental typography of deeply stroked text and word games and have coupled this with my very much historically routed cross hatching style.
Here's a little bit about the show:
A group show of 22 of denver's most talented young artists showing in one space, on one night? Are we crazy? Why, yes, we are!
This is the second installment of the Draw Rings group exhibition, after the unprecedented success of last year's Draw Rings, there was no other option but for, "the return." At the core of Draw Ring's aesthetic and conceptual goal, is the idea to allow an avenue for experimental talent and pure creative expression to have complete freedom, without concern for commercial viability. Draw rings is a social event and situational performance that attempts to operate completely outside of the established, more conservative Denver art market. These are youthful artists, being themselves. Denver, simply put, this is your future.

Friday, April 4th
6pm- infinity
3553 Brighton Blvd.
Denver, CO, 80205
Please come! They'll be over 20 artists showing, including my good friends and former RMCAD schoolmates, Terry Campbell, Justin Beard and Travis Egedy. as well as DJ's - including Odd Nosdam of the anticon collective. They'll be spinning all night long. I'll be there, all night long as well.

I'm once again planning to take a crazy Dharma Bum adventure on my bicycle, riding thousands of miles and sleeping in a tent for months at a time - this time across Europe. Like last year, I was thinking of making t-shirts to help with the costs of food. Interested in getting a t-shirt? Reply/contact me and let me know. I'll have more firm plans on the shirt printing soon. For examples of the shirts in the wild, check out the Flickr Pool!
Hope to see you and all my friends at the show on Friday. More fun things to come in the very near future,
Justin Simoni

Hello Everyone,
A few things going down:
I'm helping out with a local West Memphis Three benefit show, making some posters and postcards. The screen printed posters look like this:
They'll only be available at the show on Thursday and the proceeds will go to their legal fund and such. Here's the info about the show:

The postcards are being created for the West Memphis Three Postcard Project, so you can get the postcards at the show, save 'em or send them off. Hazzah! If I have a few left over, I may see if anyone else would want them. Most likely, I'll make a million of them. Like I do...
I was hoping to take part in this and there's a slight chance I still will, but Plastic Chapel is having a custom, anything goes, toy show on March 8th @ 7:00pm. Check it out. [homepage]. Plastic Chapel is on the 3100 block of East Colfax in Denver, CO.
March is the Month of Photography in Denver. I'll be in a few pictures taken by Travis Edgey aka Pictureplane at Rhinoceropolis in a show called, "Wonderwall". It's curated by Mr. Mark Sink. Here's the info:

That's it. Thanks for everything,

I found out at 4:00pm yesterday that I could be in the next Pirate show, if I get something to them by 6:00pm. I didn't have anything in my studio, but did at Lauri's, so a few bike trips later, some fast mounting, I have something in the show.
Here's Pirate's information:

Show is probably going to run from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Look for my stuff.

Check out Terry's new website:
Terry was Picasso to my Braque in school - we supported ourselves, while everyone around us seemed to be slacking off. I modeled for a whole bunch of his paintings, included the one above entitled, "Surgeon".
Hazzah!

Hey everyone,
First off, I finally got around to sending out postcards, so if you asked for one, it should be on its way. I have another batch to send, so if you haven't, it's gonna be there soon. Hope you like them.
Also! I'll be taking a small, itty bitty part in a show entitled: 4x4x400 which will open on December 7th at around 7:00pm till around 10:00pm at the Orange Cat Studios. Their information is:
Orange Cat Studios
2625 Larimer Street
Denver, CO
80205

The show is free, of course.
I completely neglected to take any pictures of the work to give you a teaser, but it's new stuff and fun stuff and small stuff. You'll like it.
If you're in Denver, hope to see you at the show. Say hello and I'll take your picture (if you'd like)
Cheers,

If you happen to be in Portland, Oregon this Friday (November 30th), do please please please check out Brian Vernor's series of cyclocross portraits on display at the Vanilla Workshop.
(Click the image for more information.)
I happened to be in the right place at the right time last year and had a chance to meet Brian and get my own portrait taken (that's me in the upper right of the poster) at my very first sanctioned bike race. Should be a fun time at the opening - the portraits and Mr. Brian will not disappoint.

The entire Pins: Pacific Coast project is up, as well as random pics from the trip, like this one:
And this picture is just up, since I have a fascination of photos of myself in front of cardboard backdrops of the things I'm in.
Go check it out. Nice shirt, huh?
