Hello everyone,
I've longed neglected to send things out on this mailing list - don't want to do it all the time obviously, but since the last time I sent something out, I've:
* Taken part in a show at the Denver Community Museum: http://www.denvercommunitymuseum.org/
* Traveled to New Zealand on Bicycle for a month: http://www.flickr.com/photos/skazat/sets/72157617379299328/
* And had two talking engagements, one at Pecha Kucha Denver: http://www.pechakuchanightdenver.com/volume5/justin-simoni/
* As well as at Ignite: Boulder http://igniteboulder.com/
I *did* want to tell everyone that I have a small, solo show this First Friday, June 5th in Denver Colorado called,
Emotional Response: A Black and White Issue - Psychoevolutionary Synthesis interpreted as Punk Rock Posters!
I'll have new work in the form of screen print posters of the figurative drawings I've been working on:
http://justinsimoni.com/drawings_preview/
This show is featuring screen print posters, informed by the psychologist, Robert Plutchik and his work on categorizing emotions into 8 basics: joy, sadness, acceptance, disgust, fear, anger, surprise and-
and...
anticipation.
Anticipate a good show and hope to see you there.
I'll provide some wine as refreshments.
The posters will be available for immediate purchase at a democratically set price. And even though I just gave you a bunch of conceptual hoo-ha jibber-jabber about them, they're also really really beautiful and I couldn't be more happy on how they turned out.
