The Next Next Next Big Thing

I'm pleased to present my newest and silliest art project, called The Next Next Next Big Thing, which is a continuation of 2005's, The Next Big Thing Project.

I'll be taking part in an opening at the Denver Community Museum this Friday, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, introducing The Next Next Next Big Thing concept. Here's a little description of it:

The Next Next Next Big Thing takes the, "Big Thing" series started by Justin Simoni (The Next Big Thing) and Martin S. Gardea (The Next Next Big Thing) to everyone and anyone who feels as if they're on the verge of great positive change, whether it be in personal growth, artistic breakthrough, scientific beauty, spiritual awakening or anything else that you see yourself have great potential in, but which may not have a finite name to.

Commit to your new personal greatness and take the first step by telling yourself and the world that you are that, "Next Big Thing" - as well as realizing: so are we all and it's time we celebrate that. Create a, "Next Next Next Big Thing" poster of yourself by posing for the camera like a super star or draw who you feel you are inside and post it to the walls of the museum, or take it home as a constant reminder - or both!

Yes.

Date: Saturday, February 7, 2009
Time: 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Location: Denver Community Museum
1610 Little Raven St. Suite 120
Denver, CO, USA

So, please come and become your own, Next Big Thing

Other than that, my, "good friend" and, "collaborator" "Alex" wanted me to let you all know that his sketchbook site is back up and running:

And that they have a beautiful print up for sale on Etsy, that's honestly, really sweet:

Here's what they say about that:

"A small gesture of kindness and generosity"

A somewhat surreal scene of plant-like arms protruding out, offering up a simple gift of a sunflower, without any rhyme or reason and totally by surprise. This series reflects my own gift and flower giving experiences over the years and the innocence and selflessness I try to emote will giving them. In a sick and sad world, it's always nice to be giving just a little gesture of kindness.

Aww,

One last and very tardy thing I want to do is thank everyone that helped me out during last summer's bicycling trip, especially with donating when the airline happened to lose all my luggage. Twice.

The basically completed tour journal can be found here:

And I think that's all I have to tell everyone at the moment. Thanks for reading and I hope those who can make it, turn up for the show - it should be a great exhibit!
